Vijay's heart beats for 'Nanban'

Vijay is present shooting for A R Murugadoss' 'Thuppaki' in Mumbai. However, his heart continues to beat for 'Nanban', that is all set for release very soon.

A remake of Hindi blockbuster '3 Idiots', the movie is directed by Shankar.

Vijay is quoted as saying: 'I had watched '3 Idiots' with my family at Mayajaal and enjoyed it to the hilt. But never did I think I would be part of its Tamil version. When the offer came my way, I was sceptical and spoke to director Shankar.

'This kind of film is new to me too. But I'm sure you'll be apt for the role,' Shankar had told Vijay.

'It was a great experience. Most of the shooting was at Dehradun and it was fun working with Jiiva and Shrikanth.'

Vijay Nanban Movie Release Date

Director Shankar has announced the release date of Vijay’s Nanban Movie. Nanban shooting has been completed 100% and the movie will be releasing for Pongal 2012.

Nanban audio will be released in December 2011.The soundtrack and background score of the movie has been done by by Harris Jayaraj.

Nanban features Vijay, Jeeva, Srikanth, Sathyaraj and Ileana D’Cruz. Nanban is remake of Bollywood Blockbuster film 3 Idiots which was directed by Rajkumar Hirani.

Nanban which is getting ready for pongal release has already created the buzz with 6 different and enjoyable songs . Nanban is the remake of bollywood blockbuster 3 Idiots which had bollywood super star Aamir Khan , Sharman Joshi and Madhavan. But , the entire cast and crew of the movie suggests not to compare Nanban to that of the original. Vijay said that his performance in Nanban will be different from his previous flicks in his unique style. He also said Nanban will be refreshing even to those who watched 3 Idiots .It is worth mentioning that Nanban is the first remake venture of ace director Shankar.

Sources said the film is presently being shot on the streets of Mumbai by ace cinematographer Santosh Sivan.
Also, Murgadoss has been raving about the star, his style and dedication.




It is said Vijay is up early in the morning for the shoot which goes on till late in the evening. They are shooting on actual locations, where shooting has to be completed on time, as crowd control gets out of hand.




The only break the actor took was to fly to Coimbatore after a hectic shoot in the morning to attend 'Nanban' audio launch in the evening.
